About sonicwater
also known as nicwat
There is no studio. There is a room of things that were never meant to work together, wired by hand until they did.
Every sound here comes off instruments nicwat built: software written for one purpose, circuits soldered for one night, interfaces that listen back. Nothing on these recordings came out of a box.
The medium is the experiment. Signals are bent through self-built machines and played like weather: poured, pressed, disturbed, until the mind and the machine stop being separate things.
What you hear is a transmigration. A consciousness pushed through the wires and out into the water, split into currents, folded into other currents, intertwined across sonic dimensions it had no names for.
sonicwater is where it surfaces. nicwat is what stays behind.
